My old guitar is broken, the frets are f** used but I can’t bring myself to buy a new one to protect my finger’s flesh. Some chords doesn’t work at all anymore and I can’t obviously compose any songs with them. It’s weird but I am convinced that’s a part of the original creativity …

K. is a musical project of Karla Schickele, best known as bassist/singer/songwriter in the indie rock band Ida. Working with longtime collaborators drummer Ruth Lockwood and guitarist Matt Sutton, K. has made three records, and played in the U.S., Canada, and Japan.
